The location near Atocha train station is fantastic. I loved the short walk to public transport and nearby attractions. The room was very clean, cozy, and comfortable, especially the superior double room I booked. Staff were cute and helpful. I enjoyed the solid water pressure in the shower and appreciated the nice touch of having a safe in the room. Accessing the second floor required staff assistance each time, which could be inconvenient. The walls are quite thin, and I could hear noises from other guests, which might disturb light sleepers like me. The absence of breakfast options on-site was a minor drawback. The stay was enjoyable!

the hotel had an absolutely perfect location close to a scenic plaza. moreover, it's really close to the plaza mayor and mercado san miguel, good public transport, and the train station and the city center.

Just back from Hostal Barrera! Super clean rooms and a fantastic location near Atocha. Daily room cleaning was a nice touch, but I could hear noise from other guests. Still, the friendly staff made everything easy. Would totally recommend for a city getaway!

We stayed for a whirlwind family trip and had a blast! The central location made it super easy to stroll to nearby attractions, and the lovely ladies at the front desk made our check-in smooth. Our kids loved having a safe in the room.
